Marc Grossman, Doctor of Optometry and Licensed Acupuncturist, and author of 5 books on Natural Eye Care he has helped many people maintain healthy vision and even improve eyesight. He is best described as a Developmental/Behavioral Optometrist, dedicated to helping people with such conditions ranging from myopia and dry eyes to potentially vision threatening diseases as macular degeneration and glaucoma. Dr. Grossman’s background includes degrees in Optometry, Biology, Physical Education and Learning Disabilities, coupled with yoga, bioenergetics, nutrition, Chinese medicine and acupuncture, the Alexander technique and Feldenkreis. She is the developer of Continuum Montage, which offers Continuum Movement events, Em’oceans and Sensations Trainings, Dreamtime Gatherings, and Portals of Perception seminars, internationally. Liz Koch is an author and somatic educator, and creator of Core AwarenessTM which teaches us the essential role of the physical core. She has shown her performances of Mourning Emmett, and Poems after Katrina in Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Chapel Hill. She is currently the Interim Executive Director of the Newcomb College Institute. She has taught Poetry in Motion with Emilie Conrad for 15 years. Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, C.M.T., C.S.T.-D., has been teaching and mentoring in the area of conscious awareness and its relationship to the healing process for over twenty years. Since 1986, she has been a certified instructor of CranioSacralTherapy and SomatoEmotional Release training with the Upledger Institute, nationally and internationally.
Don St John, PhD is a somatically oriented psychotherapist and trainer of Hellerwork International. He is the co-founder of Paths of Connection and has taught workshops since 1970 in the US, Brazil, New Zealand and Canada. Continuum Movement has been an essential part of his personal healing practice for many years. Jean Claude van Itallie, , founder/artistic director of Shantigar Foundation for theater, meditation and healing in Western Massachusetts, was a central force in the explosive American theatre of the sixties. His more than thirty plays include America Hurrah, The Serpent, The Tibetan Book of the Dead and translations of the major plays of Chekhov. His play Light premiered in Theater at Boston Court in Pasadena in 2005 and will have a major production in Paris this coming season. Author of The Playwright’s Workbook, he’s taught at Amherst, Columbia, Esalen, Harvard, Naropa, NYU, Omega, Princeton and Yale. www.shantigar.org.
