To Our Community, I am happy to announce starting June 8 at 6PM PST, we will offer a monthly teleconference to provide continuity of the workshop experience. For a long time I have felt it would serve to cultivate our community spirit no matter where we are geographically. The teleconference will be downloadable for you to listen at your convenience no matter the time zone. I see the conference as continuing the educational aspect of Continuum and by gathering together through cyber space, we have an opportunity to experientially seed the "emerging human". I would love to have input from you as to what subjects to discover and what aspects of Continuum are of interest to you, just email your suggestions to thefield@continuummovement.com. The conference will be interactive where conversations, questions, discoveries and other inspirational leaps can be made together. The phone number for the teleconference is: Many Blessings, Emilie's 2011 Event Schedule & Event descriptions

Moving Medicine: SuperRadiance (Flyer) A Continuum workshop is an invitation to dive into the play of life. As we enter our own pool of existence spiraling within our cells we encounter a pulsating timeless presence. Stirring through our tissues is an undulating memory of all species, millions of years of embracing a life stream that circulates through planet Earth is now alive within each of us as we become baptized by this magnificent initiation. All behavior is a result of context, whether in cells, relationships or countries. We learn from within our own cells how life happens. We learn when there is less fear and resistance the world within and without will transmit new life to what may have become withered and alienated. Moving Medicine: Life Streams (Flyer) As we enter our own pool of existence spiraling within our cells we encounter a pulsating timeless presence. Cells thrive through communal resonance, creating a range of inclusion that increases their function and viability. Cellular resonance at the human level allows for a larger body in which a greater field carries the opportunity of restorative health. In our time together, we learn that our spines are our "cosmic antennae" as we adventure through the miracle of undulating vertebral play. Our heads become chambers of discovery, our throats the song of trees and wind, our hands and feet reflect the nuanced array of unburdened movements, we are now free to move among the many streams of what it means to be alive. Writing the Waves* (see Flyer) As we emerge from the sourcing of our Continuum journey, we put pen to paper and revel in the writing, hieroglyphic renderings, ciphers and mysterious cave drawings sometimes appearing as stories, poems and possibly dialogues as emergent characters surprisingly arrive. We find ourselves in a process individually illuminating, mysterious, communally healing, politically radical, and in forms of genius never seen before. We move, we sound, our voices blend, our gestures reveal the moment as alive with creative fire. Ultimately this process helps us witness the immense brilliance of the wave of cellular illumination and innovation we as humans are suspended in. Moving Medicine: SuperRadiance A revolutionary approach to a quantum re-mapping of the human body. In Continuum movement the body is nourished so that tissue structure becomes multi-dimensional, as if you were bathing in the elixir of life itself. In Continuum movement we thrive by expanding the scope of our sensory experience, leading us to access alternative streams of life. We enter the world of cells and mitochondria micro-moving beneath the surface of our conventional world. Our movements become fractals of universal motifs, orchestrating themselves within our versatile tissue. No longer bound in limited time/space, we adventure freely within the universe of our organism. The human body becomes a continuum of creative possibilities. Experience the scope of our humanity by entering into frequency realms not bound Moving Medicine: Life Streams Continuum movement founder Emilie Conrad invites us to dive into the play of life. We learn to use movement as medicine and enter into our own pool of existence. There, we encounter a pulsating, timeless presence stirring through our tissues, an undulating life stream that circulates throughout the planet. Using vocal sounds, we stir the fluid that resides within our tissues, and through vertebral play, we learn that our spine is our "cosmic antennae." Our head becomes a chamber of discovery, our throat produces the song of trees and wind, and our hands and feet reflect the nuanced array of unburdened movement. Through our movement, we come to understand that our body was designed to continue interacting with the environment far beyond time and space. Like a tree growing its roots further into the earth with branches that spread eagerly toward the sky, we realize that we have the same ability and purpose. Moving Medicine: SuperRadiance** Summer Depths Retreat* Emilie Conrad and Susan Harper weave their their combined unique teachings to provide a multi-faceted spectrum of movement, breath, and sound explorations in an exquisitely tuned field of attention. In the retreat setting there is an emphasis on slowing down, shedding our habitual rhythms, and allowing a deep listening to guide us into unexplored territories. The fundamental ingredients for health and sanity lie in communal solitude where our personal lives and our resonance with others becomes more fully realized. The Depths Retreats are designed to provide an embrace of rapport and care where we enter our dreamtime both individually and collectively. A Depths retreat includes a two and a half-day "all nighter" “All nighters” are based on the Asclepion healing temples of Moving Medicine: The Wave of the Future This is an invitation to dwell in the gestating dark A field of vibrating resonance arises when at last Our sensory system blossoms as our primary visual dominance no longer holds sway. A plethora of exquisite sensations accompanies us Time will be spent in preparation for silent gestation For over 45 years the inquiry of Continuum has been exploring the profundity of the fluid system within our bodies, planet and galaxy as one resonant stream of intelligence. Fluid molecules are a fundamental choreographer of our tissue structure and will determine the flow of information (nourishment) that is available to us. In trauma, disease or other isolating phenomena the fluid will compress forming a barrier to the world both within and without stifling any shift of circumstance. This choreography which reveals itself in our actual tissue structure can be seen as a kind of "hologram" of survival The social consequences of these behavior barriers will eventuate in a loss of fundamental resonance resulting in an inability to feel "the other." Closed systems whether within our bodies or governments cannot grow and thrive. We live in a moving world that begs for adjustment, variability and adaptive capabilities. The unfolding intelligence of any organism or society is the A Continuum workshop is an invitation to dive into the play of life, which spirals, undulates and pulsates with an ancient wisdom that becomes our guide and teacher. As we enter a liquid world spiraling within our cells we encounter an undulating memory of all species where millions of years of an embracing life stream circulating through planet Earth is now alive within each of us as we become inspired by Entropy's End...The Myth of Ageing For years Emilie and Robert have been pooling their talents in educating the public on the fascinating adventure called “the human body”. They are also the guinea pigs of their own inquiry since as senior citizens they are questioning a collective presumed and dreaded fate as the myth of ageing looms before them. Both say the process of entropy (moving into disorder) is not “natural”, but in fact, is the inevitability of a fixed system whose only future is to deteriorate. After all, we humans have only been around for roughly 200,000 years; teenagers as far as the planet is concerned. It’s important to understand that patterned behavior is energy conservative, once a pattern has been established (like walking, eating, driving or any other skill) it requires a minimum of brain or energy output thereby making it an excellent survival attribute. This is a wonderful gift since we do not have to learn how to pick up a fork on a daily basis and running from tigers is instinctive. In short, we are designed for basic SURVIVAL. The downside to patterned behaviors is that it more often than not turns into closed systems. We know that professional athletes, dancers, runners etc. will likely have injuries and deterioration of the habitual muscle groups they use since what was once an advantage will eventually weaken into limited use. For most, just the habitual movements of daily life without new flows entering the experience of existence will eventually rust us with decay. Emilie & Robert see a system that is capable of fluid diversity with a wide range of responses as capable of engaging in the exhilaration of ongoing bio-nourishment. Just as wind stirs the ocean our breath (sound) stirs the compressed fluid within our tissue rousing it to respond from its habitual slumber. They feel the vigor and expansion of existence is our birth –right; survival is the ability to run from tigers and evolutionary ingenuity gives us the impetus to extend our resources through the living processes of this glorious inheritance called the human body. Moving Medicine: Life Streams* Cells thrive through communal resonance, creating a range of inclusion that increases their function and viability. Cellular resonance at the human level allows for a larger body in which a greater field carries the opportunity of restorative health. Vocal sounds are used to stir the magnificent fluid that resides within our tissues. When awakened, the primary choreographer of our bio-sphere begins its remarkable dance as our bodies become glistening examples of timeless shifts. We learn that our spines are our "cosmic antennae" as we adventure through the miracle of undulating vertebral play. Our heads become chambers of discovery, our throats the song of trees and wind, our hands and feet reflect the nuanced array of unburdened movements—we are now free to move among the many streams of what it means to be alive. Like awakening from a deep sleep, we comprehend that our systems were designed to continue interactions with the environment far beyond time/space. Like trees growing their roots farther into the earth with branches that spread eagerly toward the sky, we, in fact, have the same ability and purpose. It is time for us to claim our birthright and its future. Cellular Resonance & Radiant Health In their fifteenth year of cutting-edge collaboration between the movement world of Continuum and the hands-on world of CranioSacral therapy, Emilie Conrad and Suzanne Scurlock-Durana continue to pursue the vastness of the human experience. This year we will explore the implications of "being on the same wave length” – shared resonance - which implies a circumstance of interpenetrating mutuality. Using breath, movement, sound, touch and conscious awareness to be on the same wave length with the natural, healthy resonance of our cells creates an opportunity – a doorway – to biological innovation and better health and resilience. Science has found a way to reverse the time-space of cellular life, returning it to its original embryonic field – our own naturally occurring stem cells. We have every capability to do this ourselves by slowing down and deeply experiencing wave motion, in order to shift our own internal time-space continuum.
