Sharon
Weil Aaron has been a senior teacher at the Santa Monica
Continuum
Studio for 9 years and has been practicing, in close association
with
Continuum Founder, Emilie Conrad, for over 16 years. Her
work with Conrad
includes many collaborations that present Continuum to
the public; writing,
videos, and teacher training.
She
has been with Jungle Gym, the strengthening program of
Continuum,
since its inception, and has co-developed The Ageless
Body as a way to
help the ever growing group of baby boomers (and beyond)
maintain
or regain their strength, vitality, and youthfulness,
even as they feel
the limitations that appear with age.
Her love of movement has provided her with an extensive
background in
various dance forms, Pilates, Yoga, swimming and exercise.
Sharon is a
writer, director, performer and mother - and brings a
sense of creative play
to all her teaching.
Creativity is a whole body adventure that requires physical
stamina to
sustain its wild, curious and intimate explorations. Sharon's
belief is
that in order to cultivate creativity one must both court
the unknown and
develop a dexterity of form that gives shape to what cannot
yet be seen.
Whether its for strength, fluidity or new possibilities,
Sharon invites her
students to develop the full spectrum of their own movement
expression;
expanding their range, along with their choices. She guides
them to learn
what it is to be both fluid and strong in every aspect
of their "ageless"
body and their life.
