MARY ABRAMS celebrates 10 years of teaching Continuum and Jungle Gym in the midst of her 20 years of teaching movement. Offering dynamic and detailed attention to breath, sensation, emotions, and creative process, she works with a range of clients and students dealing with: surgical, injury, and stroke rehabilitation; chronic illness; aging; and general wellness and fitness interests. She currently teaches groups and individuals at Moving Body Resources in New York City, and travels to in various US locations.

Mary formally studied dance for over 30 years, holds a BA in Dance from St. Olaf College, and has received grant support for teaching and choreography in Minnesota, Iowa, India, and New York. She continues to work with Emilie Conrad, founder of Continuum; with Susan Harper in Em’oceans & Sensations and Dreamtime/Web Vision work; and with Dr. Gary David in Epistemics and Affect Psychology. Since 2002 Mary has served on the board of directors of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Associationwww.ismeta.org and has been president since August 2005.
