CONTINUUM MOVEMENT
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2008 SCHEDULE

Our bodies are shaped by and in constant dynamic play with the gravitational field of Planet Earth. Using Continuum breath, sound and movement, we will explore the force of gravity in varying contexts and enjoy the sense of lively spaciousness that occurs when we recognize gravity as a friend and source of support.
4 week series ~ Fridays 11:30-1 September 12, 19, 26 & Oct 3rd. NiaMoves, 3221 Houston Ave location.
$15 per class or regular class pass www.niamoves.com

Walking through the jungle during the steamy twilight time, all senses are awake and aware as the night creatures begin their nocturnal stirrings. What’s ahead is only a small part of the necessary information. The above, below, behind, beside requires equal attention. Practicing 360 degree awareness
expands our lens of perception. We begin to feel and sense as we would in the jungle or forest, experiencing renewed appreciation for the smaller details of “Urban Jungle” living ~ reconnecting us to the myriad variety of life’s Beauty and Pleasure happening all around us, all the time.
Sunday September 28th 2-5PM

Continuum Movement: Exploring the Fluid World within Us
Shift your awareness and deepen your understanding of the body during this two session class.
For over forty years, Continuum Movement has re-visioned the body as an ongoing, ever-changing process rather than as a fixed structure.
The fluid elements of our anatomy - our blood, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluids -- are key aspects of our health and adaptability.
Through the use of breath, sound and intention, we invoke the flowing forms found in nature and attend to the subtle rhythms of our inner being, developing our ability to move with more fluid ease and engage our world with renewed openness and clarity.
Wednesday and Thursday, 1-4 pm Sept 24 and 25;
Nov 12 and 13
Each 3 hour session: $30 ($25 Jung Center members)
The second day of each two part session is an opportunity to work more deeply with the material presented. Students must attend the first class to attend the second in each two day sequence.

Continuum Movement and the Play of Life:
Explore the timeless dimension of the Fluid Realm of Life. Spirals, waves and undulations are the intrinsic movements of evolution, renewal and health. Continuum Movement uses breath, sound and imagery to invoke these universal forms, taking us on an inner journey that fosters a connection to the larger world and to the deepest part of our own nature.
